Message from Him

1 John 1:5 says, "This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all."  Covington Theological Seminary's new blog wants to be about giving forth the glorious "message we have heard from Him."  Thus the title "Message from Him."  We want to take topics of the culture today and tell you the reader what God says about it without bias or influence from anyone or any organization.  We want to give you the message from Him - the message that has no darkness at all - only the truth.

If we never seek Christ, we will never find Christ. If we never study God's Word, we will never understand God's Word. A "man of God" must "lay hold" of these things. He must understand what godliness is and then take hold of it with intensity.

Sin does not need to hinder our worship and our love for God. If we get on our knees, God will show us the dirt. Take the time to allow God to examine your heart and show you the dirt that hinders your relationship with God in worship. Meet God on His terms today with clean hands and a pure heart.

Evangelism is fundamental to being a Christian, yet our culture is beginning to hate our message of Christ alone. If we will not obey him in the great commission now while there is peace and freedom what will we do when there is persecution and martyrs among us?
